Gem Riverside Hotel Hoi An

Great hotel in Hoi An. Nice location in a relatively quiet, peaceful area but still very walkable to Old Town and and the heart of Hoi An. Nice big pool area. The room was clean and had a nice view of the pool area and river. The breakfasts were a delicious combination of Vietnamese and Western dishes. Most importantly the staff was helpful, eager and wonderful. Special thanks to Ruby, Lily, Tao, Moon, and Hun. I had a great stay and the assistance from the staff regarding a variety of things made it even more pleasant. I highly recommend staying at the Gem Riverside in Hoi An, Vietnam.

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the old town of hoi an in a quiet place! Staff is extra kind and helpful and the rooms are very clean! Swimming pool available as well in a beautiful place! I visit hoi an 4 times per year and always stay at this hotel!

Beautiful hotel right by the riverside, staff always on hand to help. They are all so very friendly. Place is immaculate. Highly recommend.

Đi xem Show diễn Ký ức Hội An ở Đảo ký ức cũng gần đó rất tiện. Tôi đặc biệt thích quán nướng BBQ bờ sông Hoài ngay gần khách sạn, đồ nướng thơm, gió mát, ngắm thuyền trên sông chiều tối thật là chill ! Все очень понравилось, замечательный отель с чистыми просторными номерами, хорошими завтраками, приветливым персоналом. До центра города 20 минут пешком - в этом есть плюс, потому что отель расположен в тихом уютном месте. Все понравилось.

Quiet location, about 550-600m from old town, will need to walk a little further. Great that the hotel has bicycles to lend (free). There's a small Winmart en route. Overall new-ish building with a swimming pool. Clean facilities, big rooms. Value for the price.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt gewesen. Total guter Service. Erschwinglich. Einzige Kleinigkeit ist, dass man nur auf einen Mini Nebenarm des Flusses sieht, eher einen Bach, wo gar nichts passiert. In zehn Minuten ist man am Markt und bei allen Schneidern, muss nur über die etwas schmale Brücke laufen.

First visit to Danang after watching a lot tok tok reviews. Nice place if you like country side living (which I do a lot), choose tis hotel in a rush after reading some reviews (which I hope are real) Considering there are lots of other hotels, this hotel I booked is really out of the way, you have to walk quite a bit to find a place to eat.The room is normal, blanket looks dirty, everything seems different from the photos. Normally I will just book for a nite in case I don't like it, hewwww Travel safe...

Amazing place and amazing people

I don't normally review places that don't meet my expectations, however, this is an exception to the rule. Stayed here 2 years ago and it was so good, decided to stay again March this year. Booked in for 8 nights, checked out after 4. The room was not clean, coffee stains on the wall above the waste basket, shower curtain was filthy, window curtains were filthy, all bed linen and towels were grey and shabby and we did not get the rooms we booked (12 months in advance). The lawns and gardens were not well kept, breakfast was ordinary and the house rules stated that there was to be no food taken to the pool area, whatever happened to having a beer and burger by the pool? The only good thing was the location, close enough to the old town to walk, far enough away to be peaceful. This was my sixth visit to Hoi An, but will definitely be my last.

Very walkable location. Surprisingly good gym for weights. A little musty odor in the rooms but it aired out ok. Decent breakfast buffet. Awesome pool but gets busy in the afternoon. Heaps of shops available in the area and walking distance from old town markets.

Best hotel of our whole holiday in Vietnam - pool is spectacularly beautiful & the place we made so many Aussie friends with families , Ruby, Lily at reception bent over backwards to look after us . Little walk / cycle / scooter to cross the river to main market and old town-great to be close but not in the centre of the madness! We had breezy balcony room & loved the fresh breakfast in aircon by the pool - miss it so much

日本人の方、ここは泊まらない方がいいです。全額決済して予約しても受付時に追加料金20ドルを求められます。 I paid the full amount for the reservation, but was charged an additional $20 per person upon arrival. The argument at the reception ruined my trip.

We spent 6 nights here and truly did not want to leave! Very convenient location - short walk from the hustle and bustle of the ancient town but in our own quiet corner which provided the relaxation we wanted. Rooms were all incredibly spacious and clean, very comfortable stay. The staff there were simply the best - always accommodating, instantly built personal relationships and played a big part of our experience in the hotel. Thank you for an incredible holiday and we hope to see you again soon!

This hotel is not even worthy of a one star rating. It's absolutely disgusting to see how people write fake positive reviews about a hotel that's dilapidated, old fashioned and smells like a toilet. I was an utter disbelief arriving at this hotel and coming to grips with the reality that people are not truthful when they write reviews And I'm stuck with a disgusting hotel that I wouldn't even stay at even if I get it for free. The reviews are totally misleading and the images absolutely do not represent even remotely the actual condition of the hotel. Worse, I was horrified to see the indifference and couldn't care less attitudes from Ruby. She's a nasty woman. Stay far away from this hotel.

The room itself is clean and spacious. We got the ground floor family room, the outdoor bathroom is a bit inconvenient and awkward to use since we have to close the door to prevent bugs and mosquitoes to enter into the room, plus the air outside is hot. But this is minor. The location is close to old town. The staff and services are top notch. They provide free bicycles for us to explore, help us with recommendations of foods and there is laundry in house for 70k/kg which is convenient, we also booked airport transfer through hotels which is on time and the price is fair. I would stay here again

We had a great stay here! Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfast offered plenty of delicious options. We really enjoyed the pool area for relaxing. The staff is incredibly kind and helped us organize all our transport and trips. A huge plus was the free use of bikes to get to the old town—it made exploring so easy.

We loved staying there. We had three night so we relaxed during a very busy tou.

Fabulous experience at Gem Riverside. The entire hotel staff is wonderful. A big shout out to Ruby and Mai we’re going up above and beyond with their service. Easy to walk into old town from the hotel and lots of local restaurants nearby.

We stayed here as part of a 3-week tour of Vietnam. We have been at many hotels on the trip. This one is one of the best. Staying here feels like we are part of the family. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The included breakfast is plentiful and presented ta beautifully. The fruits, pastries, breads, etc, are fresh and flavorful. The egg station chef did a great job with the custom orders. The staff is fabulous. They are responsive, friendly and eager to accommodate our every need. The pool is clean and large for those who want to swim laps. |The location is away from the noise but an easy walk to shopping and the Unesco sites.

Excellent séjour à l'hôtel Gem Riverside ! L'équipe était très chaleureuse et aux petits soins pour nous et les chambres sont impeccables. L'emplacement est parfait car calme et à 5-10min du night market.

Wonderful hotel with super friendly staff! They could not have been more accommodating.

We booked Gem River for 8 nights. I recieved a mail on confirmation and packaged offering with Hotel pickup and drop off and Massage and 2kg Laundry. We booked from 21st Jan 2026 to 28th Jan 2026. The hotel sent transport to pick us from Da Nang International airport. During check in the receptionist was a lady and she did not brief on my free massage, 2kg Laundry and Hotel drop off at Airport. I booked my own transport to Airport. During check out the receptionist was silent about hotel drop off at Airport. I was given room 402. The hot shower was not working and despite repairs the issues continued. The heater only give 5 minutes hot and becomes cold water. Nothing was done by the hotel management. For 8 days we managed with the water heater issues. The buffet breakfast was so cheap and has limited choices. There was poor noodles, breads and cheap and jams butters with limited. The buffet has no taste at all. There is no kitchen in the hotel for buffet breakfast and room service. The free 2kg laundry was not offset on my laundry given to wash. I would rate the hotel as a 3 star. The entire hotel was managed by 5 staffs. At night the corridor lights were working on sensor only. So dangerous for safety on staircase. The hotel do not honor the packages. Hotel staffs saving cost for hotel owner. The river view was not 100%. It is a small river infront of hotel. There is a road and day time traffic. Anyone booking Gem River hotel take note of the above information and my experiences. The receptionist gives lip service. Disappointed, Gem hotel did not honour the packages. The hotel about 2km to the Hoi An city. I can proof my reciepts and e mail if necessary for evidence.

This is not a 4 star hotel. It is 3 star hotel with skeleton of staffs working. I booked from 21st Jan 2026 to 28th Jan 2026. I booked Junior suite. I was given a package and hotel did not honour the package. This hotel do not have a proper kitchen or Chef. Daily buffet breakfast was so poor and repeated for 8 days. I forgot about my package and the receptionist did not brief me package. Despite, when I told 3 days fir checkout. The receptionist pretended not to know anything. The corridor lights works on sensor at night and safety was compromised to save electricity. I stayed in room 402. The water heater was hot for 5 mins and it becomes cold. Reported and the issues were not rectified. The hotel is not facing river. It is a small river with facing a residential housing. I have records of booking.

Tried to charge extra 400k/room if you want early checkin though they said room are available.Rooms are old, bathtub leaking, shower head handle broken, bathroom are smelly. Kid charged 200k agoda said 150k.

Zimmer angenehm groß, Pool ist sauber, Frühstücksbuffet ausreichend abwechslungsreich. Die Lage: man muss über eine schmale Brücke auf das Festland von der Insel, hier ist oftmals sehr eng durch massiven Verkehr. Dafür nicht weit bis in die Altstadt

Wonderful 4 night stay here with 7 of us in 3 rooms. Room experience is overall very good. Beds are soft and comfy, everything works well including AC, wifi etc. pool is great, local enough to skip the bustle and escape across the bridge. Bikes are free to use, service has been truly exceptional.

2025年12月上旬に宿泊しました。洗濯物を干していたのですが、乾かなかったのでホテルの方にお願いをして洗濯、乾燥していただきました。 場所はホイアンの旧市街のメインの場所から多少離れていますが、徒歩で十分行ける範囲だと思います。 また、無料でレンタル自転車も借りることができます。 とても良いホテルでした。

I was standing in front of the hotel, near the guest area, waiting to help carry luggage up and down for the memory item. You quickly and efficiently sold the ticket to the guest, while I was busy looking for a carton of milk. If you work at a hotel, that's your job; why make extra money off them? This is a nice hotel near Old Hoi An. You need to walk across a bridge to access that area and we were able to take a small stroller on the bridge. The walk isn't super kid friendly but there are tons of cheap taxis around. Ruby and her crew are fantastic people, incredibly kind and accommodating! It's almost a hotel and travel agency combined. They can get you taxis, travel arrangements and get you out to see the incredible sights. Highly recommended and thank you Ruby!

We had an absolutely amazing time here. Small and beautiful property with a night market at walking distance. Can also do a boat ride and put a lantern in the river. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. The property is still a very quiet, cosy space. The only negative point is the breakfast, which has very limited options and even more limited vegetarian options. But the rest was excellent. Amazing staff. Will definitely come back.

The concierge Ruby booked the Memories Show for us at a slightly discounted rate, gave us directions to a local restaurant, and called taxis for us several times (negotiated prices). She gave me some fresh ginger for my tea. The rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The fridge is cold and has a small freezer. The pool is large enough for swimming laps.

The best hotel we stayed in whilst in Vietnam. The rooms were immaculate and the staff were so genuine and helpful. We also used their free bike service everyday which made going round the city so much more comfortable. The next time we are back in Hoi An we will definitely be back.

Th service in this place is amazing. The staff are up to the challenge of making your stay as effortless as possible. The rooms and the grounds are very clean and inviting. A little off the beaten path but it is a very quiet place. I would highly recommend for the price.

My mum and I stayed here for 6 nights and it was absolutely phenomenal. The staff were beyond amazing and gave so many great suggestions on tours and places to go. I can’t recommend this place enough and we will most definitely be coming back in the future

It's a nice hotel with a good buffet breakfast, not far from the markets in the old town.

I know I'm almost a year late on writing this, but I promised I would so here it goes. We stayed here in November 2024 + had a wonderful experience. The staff are so friendly + warm and really do go above + beyond. We had done an excursion that was booked through the hotel + my husband lost his wallet during our outing. The hotel staff promptly called the driver to check everywhere + it somehow fell through a hole in the backseat. We were so grateful to the hotel staff for helping us to get it back. Side note on the location, we were traveling with 2 young children, so having to cross a bridge to + from the central busy areas of Hoi An were not ideal. If we were just adults, it would have been fine + it is located in a quieter area, so after being out all day it was nice to come back to a peaceful space. The room was spacious + the kids enjoyed the pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Price is good, location was ok but it was the warmth of the staff that we remember most.

C'est à la banque de le faire. Dans ce piège, j'ai payé 2 fois le taux de change : pas honnête !

Khách sạn này rất gần trung tâm thành phố Hội An, tôi và gia đình nghỉ 1 đêm vào ngày 31/8, phòng với giá phải chăng. Tôi ở phòng giá thấp nhất, phòng tiện nghi, sạch đẹp, thiết kế đơn giản, khách sạn này chọn 2 màu chủ đạo là trắng và đen. Bể boi nước rất sạch. Quý khách lưu ý khi đặt phòng thì khách sạn đưa mức giá thấp thì không có ăn sáng, trẻ dưới 3 tuổi mới được miễn phí ngủ chung với bố mẹ. Khách sạn này còn rất mới nhé, lần sau có dịp thì sẽ ở lại khách sạn này.

처음 체크인때 직원이 지도로 상세히 잘 설명해주었고 지내는 동안 모든 직원들은 항상 웃으며 먼저 인사해주었다. 그리고 계속 청소하고 건물,조경관리를 하여 깨끗이 유지되어 있었다. 올드타운은 차로 약5~10분 거리이고 밤에는 걸어갈수 있지만 낮에는 더워서 5분도 걷기 힘들다.거리는 멀지만 오히려 조용하게 쉴수 있어서 좋았다. 아침7시에도 그랩으로 음식배달이 가능하다. 큰 수영장은 밤 10시까지 쓸수있어 1일 1수영하며 단독으로 조용히 쓸수있어 좋았다. 수영장은 얕은곳에서 점점 깊어지며 무릎 깊이에서 제일 깊은곳은 165cm인 내가 푹 잠길정도였다. 에어컨도 시원하고 물 수압도 쎄고 드라이기가 작동이 잘 안됐지만 바로 다른것으로 교체해주어 불편한 점이 없었다.
